A Dad's Hope

A Dad's Hope,

as a man raising daughter's. I have always hoped big things for my children. This one particular topic just happens to be about my beautiful and amazing daughter's. The Lord has blessed me with three of them you know.
When I was thirty one The Lord introduced Himself to me. Now along the way He had filled my heart with a few things. One very specific thing I hold close to me is the man who would ask for my daughters hand in marriage. Many times over as I read the Bible learning about my own marriage and how to try and be a God fearing husband The Lord would leave me with something. "Chad, raise your daughters knowing Me and if they choose to find a God fearing man I will bless them." Now that gives me a true sense of hope for my daughters. So, as time went by I would always raise my daughters about The Lord. These humble daughters of mine had heard 10,000,000 times the same thing over and over again.
     1. God will always love you when no one else does.
     2. No matter how many times you fall down, stand up, dust your pant legs off and run the race to win it.
     3. Find a God fearing man for a Husband and you will have an amazing marriage that will last.
     4. Under no circumstances is their Divorce for any reason.
     5. If a man loves you enough to ask me for your hand in marriage! Odds are he will respect you forever!
Now, let's talk about number 5 on the list. This is a big one to any loving Dad. On Feb 23, 2016 The Lord put in motion what was to become an amazing moment in my life. I was at my oldest daughters house for dinner and watching a movie. As I finished my dinner and sat down a young man asked me if he could talk to me on the porch. I said sure thinking he was going to tell me he had my daughter pregnant, lol. It's always something big when you as a Dad are asked to talk. As we shut the front door this young man looked at me with fear, excitement and love. "Chad, I would like to ask your permission to marry your daughter. I love you guys, I want to be a part of your family and I would like your permission to marry Beth!" At that moment God had reached down and touched my soul. He filled me with so much respect for this young man and I know in my heart he has met God's desire and mine. I gave him a big hug, said yes to him with all my heart and soul and know this is The Lord's doing. Of course the conversation went on for about another ten minutes. This was just the highlight of a dream I have for my Daughters.
So, this is my way of saying thank you to this young man. John Crawford, I am so proud of you for loving God enough to listen to His small voice and my daughter for hearing her heart. You have my full blessing and I love ya bud!

P.S.
Mark 10 New King James Version
Marriage and Divorce
10 Then He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again.
2 The Pharisees came and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him.
3 And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?”
4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her.”
5 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’[a]
7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
8 and the two shall become one flesh’; [b] so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. \
9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
10 In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter.
11 So He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
12 And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Invitations to the wedding will be sent to those who leave a comment. What an awesome day it will be, Amen!
